From the A14 motorway:

take the exit for Castel San Pietro Terme (between Imola and Bologna) – turn left, then continue straight on for 2km . At the junction with Via Emilia, turn right towards Bologna and keep on the Via Emilia until just after Gallo Bolognese. Follow the same directions if you are driving from Imola on the Via Emilia. At the GPL station turn left onto via Malvezza towards Casalecchio dei Conti, continue for 2km up to the Castello Matildeo, then bear right and turn onto via Ca’ Masino. Continue past the small country cemetery for 100m and turn right onto a small white road.
You have arrived at Podere Sassarello.

From Via Emilia

coming from Bologna: follow the Via Emilia until you pass through Osteria Grande. Once out of the village, on your right you will see the “IES” GPL station. At the pump turn right onto via Malvezza towards Casalecchio dei Conti, continue for 2km up to the Castello Matildeo, then bear right and turn onto via Ca’ Masino. Continue past the small country cemetery for 100m and turn right onto a small white road.
